US June nonfarm payrolls rose by 372,000 (consensus 268,000) with May’s a revised 384K new jobs. June unemployment rate was 3.6% (consensus 3.6%), versus 3.6% in May and slightly above before the pandemic became widespread in the U.S. in February 2020. Wages grew 5.1% on the year, down from 5.3% in May.
