The week of the FANG, internet monsters Alphabet $GOOGL, formerly known as Google starts off on Monday, then Facebook $FB on Wednesday and Amazon.com $AMZN Thursday. 

Husky Energy (HSE), one of Canada’s largest integrated energy companies, reported it's second quarter 2017 earnings on Friday. Higher oil prices and increased in production enabled HSE to report a smaller loss.  

Canadian Energy natural gas producer Encana Corp shares jumped 3.5% after releasing earnings before the market Friday.  They have cut costs further and have boosted oil and gas production volumes with higher realized prices. 

Oil service giant Schlumberger (SLB) reported adjusted second-quarter 2017 earnings above consensus before markets opened on Friday. Fracking revenue soared 68% from Q1 in the U.S. and $SLB is overcoming weakness in major Middle East projects.

Online auction giant eBay reported inline second-quarter earnings after the market close Thursday. $EBAY's tepid growth and full-year guidance was short of estimates sending the stock off near 5%.

Canada's largest integrated telecom operator Rogers Communications $RCI reported mixed earnings Thursday for Q2 2017. Bottom line beat consensus estimates but revenue missed. The Internet of Things Boosted Result.

Microsoft $MSFT reported June quarter earnings after the close Thursday handily beating consensus expectations. The software giant smashed it's numbers with the stock going to all time highs after the release.

General Electric (GE) often seen as  bellwether for the U.S. economy and just like the economy the stock is floundering near 2015 levels and is the second worst performer in the Dow this year. $GE reports Q217 earnings before the open Friday.

Aluminum producer Alcoa (AA) reported better than expected EPS Q217 earnings per share but on lower revenue than expected. The stock was down 2.5% After the release.

Morgan Stanley (MS) reported better than expected earnings alomng with other major banks beating before the open. The stock rose 3% in early trading bouyed by wealth management revenues.
