The G7 in their communique Friday committed their nations to accelelerate it's transition from coal in a conscious move from fossil to green fuel dependancy. Meanwhile over in China they are building coal capacity, again this shows their clear deference to the G7.

  • We commit now to rapidly scale-up technologies and policies that further accelerate the transition away from unabated coal technology
  • We stress that international investments in unabated coal must stop now
  • We commit to take concrete steps towards an absolute end to new direct government support for unabated international thermal coal power generation by the end of 2021

Meanwhile over in China they are building coal capacity, again this shows the clear deference to the G7 China has which has many denouncing the blind hypocracy of the Green shaming of Western energy producers and users.

Coal power is the single largest source of pollution and it's relatively easy to fix with the alternatives available   Alternatives are natural gas, uranium and renewables such as wind and solar.

Most western countries including Germany and the UK have converted its coal-powered electricity generation to nuclear, natural gas and renewables. The US would be expected to do the same in the near future.
