KeymasterEarthSat Tropical Update
The peak of the Atlantic Hurricane season is around the corner and as if on cue, activity has increased across the Atlantic. In the Gulf of Mexico, sea surface te mperatures are running high enough to support any potential storm development.

KeymasterAlso recommend to FILL UP NOW .. whether it be your car, propane tanks, oil fuel for furnace, etc … a storm can quickly spike prices … and even if hurricane predictions end up better than expected — being prepared is good.

Eric HolthausVerified account @EricHolthaus
Just-completed GFS model (12Z) shows nothing less than a flooding catastrophe for Texas. 24-48″ of rain in 3 or 4 days. Please pay attention

ParticipantConcerned – the sheer volume of rain will be a problem – am hoping it dies out.

Keymasterand sending prayers of safekeeping for TEXAS as we have a DALLAS & HOUSTON office … plus quite a few other friends there 🙂 Harvey has more of a milder “Sandy like” look as it will continue as strong tropic storm even while overland … more RAIN than WIND damage is likely the story. I too hope for some sheering as the Gulf warm does fuel storms.
