ParticipantConsolidated net income fell sharply to $1.75bn from $3.03bn in the year ago period. That translated to earnings per share of 58 cents, down from 98 cents in the year ago period. However, that reflected one-time charges including a 29 cent charge associated with the company’s recent debt tender offer, a 9 cent charge associated with a US investigation into allegations of bribery and other charges tied to a decision to exit certain properties.
