    NVIDIA (NVDA 177.93, -11.96, -6.3%) lowering Q2 revenue guidance and attributing that to a lower sell-in of Gaming products.

    The flow on other semiconductor stocks with the PHLX Semiconductor Index (SOX) closing down 1.6% with nearly every component in the red.

    This also led the S&P 500 information technology sector (-0.9%) to close in last place on the day.

    Weak mega cap stocks today.

    The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) closed down 0.4% versus a 0.3% gain in the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) and a 0.1% loss in the S&P 500.

    Meta Platforms (META 170.25, +3.14, +1.9%) and Tesla (TSLA 871.27, +6.76, +0.8%) were able to buck the trend and close with gains, leading their respective S&P 500 sectors,
    communication services (+0.4%) and consumer discretionary (+0.3%), to close ahead of the broader market.

    The S&P 500 futures are down 14 points and are trading 0.4% below fair value.
    The Nasdaq 100 futures are down 85 point and are 0.8% below fair value.
    The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures are down 45 points and are trading slightly above fair value.

    There’s some hesitation in the market ahead of Wednesday’s CPI report.

    President Biden is expected to sign the CHIPS Act today at 10:00 a.m. ET while the Inflation Reduction Act is headed to the House where a vote is expected on Friday.

    Treasury yields are also on the rise ahead of the open. The 2-yr note yield is up four basis points to 3.24% while the 10-yr note yield is up four basis points to 2.80%.

    WTI crude oil futures are up 1.3% to $91.94/bbl.
    Natural gas futures are up 1.5% to $7.71/mmbtu.
    Unleaded gasoline futures are up 1.7% to $2.93/gal.
