I had a 6 game parlay which included the NE vs TB game
I took NE with -5.5 points 🙁 NE won by 4

    +456 @ VP Pence

who exited stage left Indy game after national anthem … some of SF players took a knee … a me too also for light amounts of football viewing …. as I even understand causes, but there is a proper time & place … instead –I’m heading out for before “Nate” arrives more fully as we’ve had a few light showers from outer bands … warm & muggy in SW VA now & will go on search for members of Bambi’s herd to capture on camera (plus fall colors as well) 🙂

I boycott the NFL every week that the Buffalo Bills play the 1:00pm time slot, as they will not show any other games here in Ontario on basic cable.

    Got Dallas game on now
and the Chiefs vs Texans will be a good game

Dak v. Rogers was great QB match-up yesterday … I did watch a little of the ending of game. Dallas almost had the win, but they do need to shore up on defense side some. I watched a tiny bit of Sunday night game, and that was it … The game remains tarnished for me, until our anthem is better respected (as it is a turn off for me)

+1 and BINGO @ Jerry Jones – if you don’t stand for anthem & FLAG – you don’t play 🙂

Something about Dallas Cowboys offensive line doesn’t seem right
Elliot doesn’t seem to get the holes he was getting last year

ESPN suspended Jemele Hill on Monday, the network announced, for two weeks “for a second violation of our social media guidelines.”

ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz signaled that Hill’s offending tweet involved suggesting fans boycott Cowboys advertisers if they were upset Jerry Jones told his players they would stand for the national anthem or be benched.

“This play always work,” she wrote Sunday. “Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ’s statement, boycott his advertisers.”

Roger Goodell sends letter to NFL teams, wants players to stand during anthem

Again Goodall is behind the curve and really dropped the ball on this – what happens when you pay a guy in his position $40 million and his arrogant self thinks he is the game – ask Tom Brady.

and even when they are “forced” to stand again — the damages have been done … my brother rests in Arlington after distinguished career in Navy, NASA, etc. — so to some of us out there the national anthem has meaning. It ain’t the time, place, or forum to protest any cause …. Still players have a constitutional right to protest there — and for those who feel that 1 minute or so is more sacred, there will be a major loss of $$$ due to loss of interest.

Thank God for hockey … Carrie Underwood sings national anthem before Nashville Predators playoff game

….this should be the next Commissioner of the NFL

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said that NFL players should voice their concerns about racial injustice without “alienating” people.

“We do need to get off this controversy,” Rice told Dana Perino on “The Daily Briefing.”

“Whatever the players were trying to do in drawing attention to these issues, it’s gone another way now in that people have stopped listening to each other.”

Rice said the players’ goal should be to bring as many people to their side as possible and explain what injustices they are protesting.

    +2 Carrie and Condie
