[size=5][b]Europe Waiting on the European Elections – Esp UK

Voting is under way on the last day of the European elections.

A total of 73 MEPs were voted for in the UK on May 23, with eight of those from London, in a contest in which the Tories are set for heavy defeats.

All EU nationals had the right to vote in the latest contest, with results from every nation being released on the night of May 26 after the final polling station in the continent closes.

UK polling stations will opened at 7am on Thursday and closed at 10pm.

[b]Results expected 10.30pm, Sunday May 26 through to 6pm, Tuesday May 28 for Northern Ireland
The results will be announced only after all of the nations have finished voting, which is expected to be completed around 10pm on Sunday

.North East England is expected to be the first to declare results, after 2014’s results came in at 10.15pm.

There are three seats in the North East, two of which are being defended by Labour and one by the Brexit Party.

If Labour loses one or both of its seats, it could signal a collapse of the party’s support in its former northern heartlands.
