HAPPY GROUNDHOG’S DAY 2019 8) 8) 8) 8)

On our 7 acres in SW VA — we have at least 4 DENs of these rascals (that I know of – lol) … as POLAR VORTEX has finally left us yesterday – I hope to do a little hiking & check for tracks, etc. If he sees his shadow it scares him into 6 more weeks of WINTER (and that indeed appears to be what will happen in our area this morning in an hour or so – lol)

At 7:25 a.m. Eastern time on a hill outside Punxsutawney, Pa., known as Gobbler’s Knob, the seemingly immortal Phil — the same rodent who launched the tradition in 1887, if you believe his handlers — looked for his shadow. More: Groundhog Day is Friday.

How accurate are Punxsutawney Phil’s predictions? Phil may be the most famous groundhog in the U.S., but he isn’t the most accurate. The four-legged creature only has a 39 percent accuracy, according to Stormfax Almanac’s data. Phil sees his shadow about 85 percent of the time.

[b]YAY – PUXY PHIL did NOT see shadow — forecasting early spring 8) …Even found a kool U-Tube of the 30 minute celebration 😆

However, Bambi & I both saw our shadows – so it could 12 more weeks of winter – lol 😉

HAPPY SUPER BOWL SUNDAY … my better half and I had excellent day of worship … where I did lift up the need for us to pray for our nation, leaders, state of VIRGINIA, and esp. the sanctity of life. Still unlike current media, I believe there is more good news in USA than what it portrayed. As we enjoy game (and Pats will likely win) — we do live in most blessed nation in world.

But TEMPs have rebounded to 58F … and will soon take a long afternoon hike before fixing a nice round of GHOST chilli for game 8)
