ParticipantKinder Morgan $KMI wins a favorable ruling from Canada’s energy regulator in its appeal over municipal permits for the company’s Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.
The National Energy Board says the company can proceed with Trans Mountain construction work without complying with certain bylaws from the city of Burnaby, B.C., through which the pipeline passes.
KMI had asked the NEB to intervene after it said it was unable to obtain municipal permits from Burnaby, where local officials strongly oppose the project.

average hourly earnings +5 centsThe change in total nonfarm payroll employment for September was revised up from +18,000 to +38,000, and the change for October was revised down from +261,000 to +244,000. With these revisions, employment gains in September and October combined were 3,000 more than previously reported.
