    Some US data before Christmas …

    Chicago Fed national activity index +0.22 vs +0.20 expected, prior +0.24

    Prior Production +0.08 from -0.09 prior
    48 of the 85 indicators were positive and 37 negative

    Danger lurks even at Christmas time[/b][/color][/size] :woohoo:

    a bright RED “Rudolph” finish at close — but believe things will settle down in coming days (or at least that is my hope – lol) …. Still, I bought on dip today – knowing we’ll go lower — as I could not resist a good “fire sale” on VTSAX for my personal Roth 8) …. believe we are more in chaos than a recession right now.

    with a PC sound system that can peel paint on walls :silly:

    At our church I teach a high-tech Sunday School class with computer technology … we have just finished 1st hour of 6 hour EPIC moive … This 1977 classic has some of best Hollywood actors of ALL TIME … If you watch just 1st 45 minutes, it covers the Christmas origin with outstanding acting & cinematography Highly recommended πŸ™‚

    DOW currently up over 400 — as we were way oversold πŸ˜†
    and things can quickly change (believe we are nearing bottom if some current issues can be solved) :whistle:

    2.5% FED rate still is a bargain, as they are trying to fix balance sheet
    Still FED does need to slow down as some folks are badly in DEBT (just like country)
    We should be balancing books each year as nation, state, and even family 8) [/b][/size][/color]


    S&P Case Schiller HPI for October 0.41% vs 0.3% estimate
    Previous 0.3% vs 0.7% revised.

    YoY comes in at 5.48% v 5.52% last month
    NSA 20 city index MoM 0.0% v -0.1% estimate


    December Richmond Fed manufacturing index -8 vs +15 expected Prior +14

    One of the worst monthly falls on record, tariffs effect?

    New orders -9 v +17 prior
    Employment +14 v +11 prior
    Inventories +15 v +5

    The services revenue index was however strong at +10 vs +5 prior.
