and what could Apple do with its own network?
    sell its own products

while the broadcasting laws would prohibit them from monopolizing the airwaves, it hasn’t stopped Rogers Communication from doing that here.

Numerous times a commercial will get cut or even a TV will end abruptly only to find a Rogers commercial being played. Which I find kinda odd because I am on Rogers and they have only shown that I should change companies instead of buying the product I have that they are trying to sell me when they cut off my show.

I just mean having more control on content for their products – much the same way NFLX and AMZN have their own shows now as a way to build Apple TV

$GM announced that it has applied and received approval for a voluntary delisting of its common stock from the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada. The delisting will not affect the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange

The automaker said that given the relatively low trading volume of its shares on the TSX and the fact that $GM’s NYSE listing provides its shareholders with sufficient liquidity, the company believes that the costs associated with maintaining a dual listing are no longer justified.

A huge fire that broke out on Thursday at a major PetroChina ($PTR) refinery in northeastern China reportedly has been extinguished by more than 600 firefighters with no casualties.

The blaze at the plant’s 1.4M metric tons/year catalytic cracker comes just two months after the Dalian refinery finished a planned major maintenance.
