Chevron restores production at Israeli gasfield
Chevron has restored production at the Tamar offshore gasfield in Israel, the company said on Monday, ending the supply disruption caused by the start of the war on October 7.
The US energy major said it received an instruction from the Israeli government to restore output at the end of last week, having previously been instructed to shut down the Mediterranean field for safety reasons following the attack by Hamas.
Supply from Tamar goes to Israel and onwards to Egypt, which can export it as liquefied natural gas.
