After Gary Cohn resigned after tariff fight Wilbur Ross was on CNBC with US Steel executive, David Burnitt

Highlights
We are not looking for a trade war.
Trump indicated flexibility on tariffs with Canada and Mexico if agreements on NAFTA can be ironed out
We need a real solution to the overcapacity problem
The tariffs will not blow up anything at all
Tariff represents less than 1/2 of 1% of the US economy

Burnitt said price impact on the prices will be minimal and will open a plant and employ 500 people.

I don’t agree with all actions of #45 for sure 8) — Still, he is a president of action far more than any I’ve seen in my lifetime (as most “just talk” and don’t carry thru — except on the par 4 7th green 😉 He has been working everywhere possible to make things better for all … I think of him as Ike 2.0 on steroids – lol 🙂 …. He & all leaders are top of my prayer list & we are seeing REAL improvements for 1st time in economy & even other difficult areas.

Tariffs are taxes (and by definition “bad” normally) … so I hope it is only shot-over-bow threat-only or temporary in nature if it does come … with that said, Tariffs are simply a TOOL to battle back on ultra-cheap pricing (where labor cost might be $2 per hour) to allow new steel mills to arise out of ashes of rust belt (and they are ones who put #45 into office)

TARIFFS may already be having positive leverage in “The art of the deal” (all the rest is noise) 😉

And maybe a better NAFTA offsets impact of the new tariffs?

And gives power to improve other trade treaties

and then #45 drops them later

CHECK & MATE 😉 8)
