Keymaster[b]The “FAKE NEWS” even noted potential for CAT 4 in a radio news report — but that is likely hyperbole … the latest at around 5pm does show further unexpected strengthening & calls for 125mph (strong CAT 3 at coast) … sometimes overnight the fuel (water) can cool off some & that helps in containing storm …
the main BAD NEWS of storm is there are no nearby fronts in USA to sheer or steer this — so these predictions do need to be taken seriously … I shared those concerns to be safe with a few co-worker friends in our Dallas/Houston offices — as it’s definitely coming.[/b]

Keymaster[size=5]in my own studies of meteorology .. the barometric pressure is key thing to watch hourly changes on to determine strengthening or weakening … Any thing below 1,000mb is a major hurricane … and some of the world record CAT 5 storms have gone even below 900 … Harvey is very slowly strengthening with heating of day as follows … This almost looks like a 2017 version of Allison …
