    In a data-dependent world, we can’t extrapolate too much from such speeches.

    The true challenge for Canada will be to come unscathed from the NAFTA renegotiations while also navigating a turbulent housing market along with households carrying record-high debt loads. Quite a balancing act for a central bank that’s in a hiking mode.
