    Nissan Motor Co. statement revealing cheating on fuel economy and exhaust emissions tests.

    The company said they uncovered the findings after conducting an internal review; it found that some inspectors used altered measurement values on emissions inspection reports, while some tests “deviated from the prescribed testing environment.”

    T[color=blue]he false tests did not affect exported vehicles.
    According to Nissan, the falsifications ultimately did not impact fuel-economy findings. The company has since launched an investigation, which should take about a month, a spokesman said.
