WEATHER CENTER – Keep an eye on Tropics & Ontario skies

#11455

Overnight GAS has increased 2.5 cents per gallon nationwide & around 2 cents in SW Virginia … Hopefully, no major damages or flooding will occur to “refinery rows” in TX & LA — as both are critical for gas supply prices to be on low end in USA …

This should not be the “next Katrina” but could be a borderline CAT3 at about 115mph (my estimates … as 947mb has held in past couple of hours) as landfall will weaken .. Days from now — the eye could still go back out to sea and like a cat with 9 lives impact LA or FL next week? Long-range for SW VA is to get remnants of Harvey by WED/THU next week?

P.S. Just got back myself yesterday from FILL UP so that Avalon is ready (and got the mower cans full also) … and my better half + kids filled up yesterday … it’s not a panic type thing, but just being prepared for 1st week or so — for spikes & even spot shortages in worst case scenario
