A federal judge Wednesday blocked the Trump administration’s “conscience rule” for health care providers.

The rule would have given health care providers permission to refuse participation in procedures that weren’t in line with their religious or moral beliefs. Manhattan-based U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer called the rule unconstitutional and “shot through with glaring legal defects.”
