(1) Schedule vacation day well into advance (COMPLETE)
(2) Get some SOLAR ISO certified shades at WALMART (TBD)
(3) or take a box and with a pinhole you can make a way to safely observe (as I did in 1970 as a young teen)
(4) Charge digital camera (TDB)
(5) actually rather than looking at sun — Observe the unusual SHADOWS (which often form in crescents) plus ANIMAL behavior is more of a highlight than eclipse (maybe I can get a photo of Bambi in the eclipse
(6) Do not get on any highway at there may be congestion for those heading for the 70 mile 100% zone area
(7) Be ready to head to the nearby CAVE … in case this is the end of the world – lol 🙂
