Crypto fund flows have turned increasingly negative, with bitcoin (BTC-USD) ETFs leading a broad pullback across digital asset investment products.
Over the past 30 days, U.S. bitcoin ETFs recorded $6.4 billion in outflows, marking the largest 30-day withdrawal on record. Last week alone saw $233 million in ETF redemptions, while broader crypto funds posted $116 million in net outflows, extending a five-week losing streak.
The ongoing weakness has reduced 12-month cumulative inflows into crypto funds to $5 billion, down from an October 2025 peak of $10 billion. As a share of assets under management, inflows now stand near 7%, compared with 16% in April, the lowest level since July 2025.
Sentiment deterioration has been reinforced by underperformance from Strategy Inc. (MSTR), whose stock has lagged bitcoin at its widest margin since March 2024. Analysts note that persistent outflows from bitcoin ETFs suggest fading demand, as investors rotate risk exposure amid volatile crypto prices and tighter liquidity conditions, while market participants monitor whether sentiment stabilizes or further redemption pressure emerges in the coming weeks and remains highly sensitive to macroeconomic and regulatory developments ahead globally.
