Gold futures settled $27 higher (+0.6%) at $4,381.40/oz, as falling Treasury yields and expectations that easing Middle East tensions could reduce inflation pressures boosted demand for the precious metal.
Investors were also positioning ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy decision, while lower interest rate expectations continued to support non-yielding assets like gold.
U.S. Dollar Index is now +0.1% higher to $99.66.
