uropean Commission officials warned the bloc’s member states about the G-7 position, saying that President Biden had told European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in the Oval Office of the White House last week there was no appetite in Washington for adjusting the oil sanctions, according to the people familiar with the matter.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. National Security Council declined to comment.
