From here weather models focus on cold but be careful we are in the shoulder season and the disrepancy between sample and EIA activity can be significant,  meaning an outside number is a big chance. The focus will continue on Sabine Pass and Mexico and perhaps LNG exports given Trade Wars are the overhang du jour. Technically the weekly support $2.522 is the .618 retracement of the move up from $1.611 to $3.994. For Fiboancci fans $3.50 is the .618 retracement of the move down from $3.994 to $2.522. KnovaWave notes the confluence of technicals, fundamental and herd or wave psychology. In natural gas the Marcellus break-even is $2.50 and $3.50 is the Haynesville break-even. Both those levels were also impulse exhaustions.

Despite nearing the end of injection season, demand last week was kept in check by relatively mild temperatures. Almost 8 Bcf of production growth in the Southeast and Northeast cell regions also supported this week’s injection, although about half of that new supply was offset by higher exports, week on week. Very high weather-adjusted injections in the south-central salts and nonsalts this past month show promise to close more of the regional deficit before the worst days of Winter. The East and Midwest sample injections often crumple at the first sight of cold weather, but recent activity also remains relatively high for these temperature ranges. – Bentek
